  • One of the warning lights on the dash goes on and off. I'm clueless. They spend 2 hours with my car, add fluid, no charge, tell me I have done the right thing to always bring it in. You bet I will I feel SAFE, and happy.

  • Woke up to a car that wouldn't start. AAA came ran a diagnostic, jumped it, it started. I called E-Car, they said maybe alternator, I had the same thought. AAA said I'd be okay to drive from San Jose to Palo Alto. On the freeway I lost the electrical to the dash. By the time I pulled off the freeway (thank goodness!) my car quietly coasted to a stop. Another AAA truck came 45 minutes later, and towed me the rest of the way to E-car. They were busy, but fit me in and gave me a ride to work. A new alternator and my cars runs perfectly, and under the estimate, also Paul threw in badly needed windshield wipers, just in time for the first rain!

  • eCar Garage is terrific. Stellar CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! All around, the entire staff is very helpful, they really listen, and take time to address my concerns. They get to know my car, but more importantly...-me- and my approach to servicing my car. Super nice people and I feel they genuinely care. HONESTY- I really trust these guys. High QUALITY work- they diagnose issues as practical *thinkers* and have a high end diagnostic computer that other shops may not have. FLEXIBLE to share the options and implications for bigger issues, and go with the customer's choice. Very practical. Don't misinterpret all the super cool high end cars in their marketing... They service all kinds of cars. So why the heck did I write so much? Well, because I love these guys and actually look forward to my appointments! Trust and quality are HUGE for me to relax in a car shop. I will call out Paul W. at the front desk. Great guy, knows the business inside out. Get to know him a bit and don't be afraid to joke around if you have a few extra minutes. Maybe ask him about a really obscure (and totally fake) issue/ noise with your car just to mess with his head. Really. This guy is seriously the "Clunk" to replace "Click" on Car Talk. ("Click & Clack" are the hilarious expert car guys on NPR's "Car Talk" radio show. Sadly, brother Tom "Click" died in 2014) So, yes you should go make that appointment with eCar Garage.
