Audi Issues and Common Repairs
Audis are great cars! With their stylish exterior and interior looks, coupled with turbocharged and supercharged engines, and Quattro all-wheel drive, these cars are very rewarding to own. The Audi A4 and A6 platforms do have some common repairs that will be needed as they approach 100,000 miles: valve cover gasket, camshaft plugs, and camshaft chain tensioner gaskets. Front suspension upper and lower control arms, tie rod assemblies, the Allroad's front airbag springs. Timing belts on the TT need to be changed at every 60K interval or earlier. We have seen several unfortunate customers' cars where the timing belt had failed and destroyed the cylinder head.
